Who is Akyab Muslim Welfare Australia Inc.?
We are a foundation founded by a group of Australians who were from Akyab area in Sittwe. The organisation had been humbly found to help those refugees who were forced to flee Mynamar now stranded at the border of Bangladesh and IDP camps.
Is Akyab Mulsim Welfare Australia a registered charity?
Yes. We are a charity registered with ACNC and every donation above $2 is tax deductible and we work for the organisation on a volunteer basis. We have no employment or very little admin costs.
Where would my donations be used?
You are donating to the welfare of the refugees of the IDP camps where the funds are used for the their basic needs, food and clean water.
How much of my donations will go to the refugees in need?
All of your donations less merchant fees to process the funds from the website to the bank which is 1.75%. If you wish the full amount to reach please take this into account.
If my donation was unsuccessful or rejected what should I do?
